Meet the Shared Support, Inc. Team & Staff


Elizabeth Devett

Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Liz started her career as a Direct Support Professional, Teacher and an Advocate for people with intellectual disabilities. She has been working with students and adults with disabilities in multiple capacities for the last 25 years. Liz is also a communication mentor and an Essential Lifestyle Plan facilitator.  

She is a former Program Specialist, Residential Director, and now serves as Shared Support’s Chief Executive Officer.  Since 2005, Liz has successfully led the organization through multiple policy initiatives, fiscal changes and expansion.

The organization has grown from serving 7 people in one service to now providing supports and services to over 350 people and their families in Lifesharing, Home and Community Habilitation, Employment Services and Community Living Arrangements. Liz has set a high standard of person centered and responsive management across the organization.


Christine Martin

Founder & Chief Operating Officer

Chris has over 33 years of experience in all aspects of the Intellectual Disability System. She was a direct support professional for 8 years, and is an Essential Lifestyle Plan facilitator and trainer. She has facilitated over 200 person directed plans for people and their families.

Chris served as the Executive Director of the Arc of Bucks County, and as a consultant leading Self-Determination Pilot projects in 5 counties in Pennsylvania, as well as Maryland. As a founder of Shared Support, Chris led the development of innovative program design and person centered supports for people with a wide range of needs. 


Theresa Pratt

Theresa joined Shared Support in 2005 and quickly developed fiscal and administrative processes that assisted the organization to achieve positive financial positions and effective cash flow. She continues to manage the fiscal growth of the organization while maintaining the highest level of compliance with all local, commonwealth, and federal guidelines.

Theresa’s organizational talent and gift for detail provides the business foundation from which we can provide our support and achieve our mission.  


John Thvedt, Ed.D.

Dr. Thvedt is a founding officer of Shared Support Concepts as well as Shared Support Inc in 2005. As a result of listening to and learning from people he has supported, he encourages all staff to be person centered thinkers and to share power to promote growth and self-esteem. As a person-centered clinician, he tries to balance psychological, health and safety concerns with the inherent human need of people to direct their lives and contribute to their world.

He has over forty years of experience as a behaviorist, administrator and therapist, and continues to provide guidance to individuals, to their supporters and to the organization.

Kristie Wertman

Kristie joined Shared Support as a Program Specialist in 2005. She quickly learned the person first concept and developed trusting relationships with all of the people she supported. She generated a genuine and positive attitude towards people and they responded with amazing growth and attainment of outcomes.

She has learned to share her philosophy of managing by relationship with all of the many staff she now supervises. Kristie has overseen tremendous growth in her region and, as Regional Director, empowers Program Specialist and Direct Support Professionals to Dream, Reach, and Contribute! 


Angie Collins

Angie joined the Shared Support team as a Program Specialist in 2007 and was promoted to the position of Assistant Director in 2013, having demonstrated her commitment to providing person centered supports and effectively mentoring person-centered thinking with her team.  

After earning her degree from Marywood University, Angie gained experience as the Manager of support services at an Enrichment Housing Program for people living with intellectual and developmental disabilities.  Angie also has experience with connecting people with medical assistance benefits and held the position of Activities Director for an aging population.

Drue Robinson

Drue joined the Shared Support family in the Spring of 2017.  She has dedicated the past 24 years of her career to the development and provision of meaningful community supports for people living with intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as for those living with behavioral health needs. Having worked for both government and IDD nonprofits prior to Shared Support, Drue gained experience working direct care through key leadership positions and also has experience working in the legal system. Drue received her MSW degree from Temple University and is a Pennsylvania Licensed Social Worker.




Jeff Hyson

Jeff has been in the field of social services for 21 years.  He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Lenoir-Rhyne University and a Master’s degree in Social Work from Marywood University.  Jeff acquired his licensure in social work in 2005.  

Prior to joining the Shared Support team in 2010, his experience included Supports Coordination, In-Home and Community Supports Coordination, Manager of Children’s Crisis Program, Senior Psychiatric Counselor for community based programs for individuals with co-occurring disorders, and Program Director for a Long Term Structured Residence.  

Jeff is married with two daughters, Abby and Taylor, and lives in Lansdale, Pennsylvania.  In his free time Jeff enjoys volleyball, soccer, swimming, watching Philadelphia sports teams and coaching his daughters’ sports teams.

Brooke Berchick

Residential Director

Brooke has 10 years of experience in the intellectual/developmental disabilities field.  She started as a Therapeutic Staff Support in wraparound services and also worked as a teacher’s aide and an art therapy instructor in summer camps for children with autism.  She worked as a Direct Support Professional prior to becoming a Program Specialist at Shared Support in 2012.

Brooke supports the one person at a time model in overseeing the development of person centered plans for many dually-diagnosed individuals and also works closely with clinicians and teams to ensure that people who present with challenging behaviors have a chance to contribute to their communities.

Brooke supervises the Program Specialists in Bucks and Montgomery Counties and has become particularly involved in ensuring that individuals receive timely medical care of the highest quality possible.

John Stewart

John began working for Shared Support in 2011 as a Direct Support Professional, supporting one person to achieve his goals of losing weight and starting his own dog walking business. After two years in the position, John transitioned into the role of Program Specialist, where he managed a caseload of people receiving residential and home-based services.  During this time, John focused on providing person centered opportunities, supporting people to live fulfilling, self-directed lives as contributing members of their communities.  

John developed a comprehensive understanding of Shared Support’s programmatic operations, allowing him to assume the role of Program Director.  John utilizes this position to train, supervise, and mentor Program Specialists to understand their responsibilities and implement Shared Support’s mission of providing meaningful lives to the individuals we support.
